Talents UAE has successfully attempted a Guinness World Record for the largest Hag Al Leila celebration at Al Shindagha Museum. The highly anticipated event took place from February 14 to 16, marking the third consecutive year of this vibrant cultural celebration.
Hag Al Leila is a cherished Emirati tradition that celebrates the spirit of community and heritage. The event at Al Shindagha Museum brought it to life through interactive experiences, storytelling, and trails designed for families and children. As the museum’s official outsourced partner, Talents UAE has played a key role in curating dynamic programming, operations, recruitment, training, sales, and marketing since the project’s inception in 2021.
This Guinness World Records attempt reinforced the company’s commitment to preserving and promoting Emirati heritage while engaging local audiences in an immersive and meaningful way.
“We were honoured to bring unforgettable Hag Al Leila experiences for the third year in a row, this time on a historic scale, uniting communities through storytelling and cultural engagement,” said Rupert Tappin, Country Manager of Talents UAE. “This initiative reaffirmed our dedication to making learning extraordinary and celebrating the rich traditions of the UAE,” he added.
The 2024 event featured a life-size installation of a traditional Hag Al Leila bag and candies—a first-of-its-kind scene in Dubai. It also showcased homegrown food and beverage pop-ups, traditional Emirati trails, and storytelling sessions, highlighting the cultural significance of Hag Al Leila. Families participated in guided trails, and children joyfully sang the Hag Al Leila song, ‘Atoona Hag Al Laila’, stopping at each house to collect candies.
The event aimed to celebrate this cherished occasion before Ramadan, entertain audiences and foster a deep appreciation for the UAE’s cultural identity. Talents UAE expressed gratitude to the community who joined this historic celebration, witnessing an 
unforgettable moment in Emirati cultural history. Whether young or old, attendees embraced the festivities and contributed to the momentous Guinness World Records attempt.
